We went after lunch rush was over. Excellent service and excellent food. It was beautifully presented on the plate. Great experience and we'll go again!

Had the old fashioned tacos they were good not great but good

Good was good. Good size portion for lunch. Waitress wasn't very friendly nor did she visit our table very often to see if we needed refills or anything else. Waited a while to get our check and pay

Going downhill, pricey, service isn't very good anymore

This was my favorite El Chico from my childhood. We’d always go at least once a week. I’m so sad to see it closed. Thanks for all the great times and good luck to the staff in your future endeavors.

Food is always great. But I have to mention that servers (especially Norma) is the greatest! She always goes above and beyond to give you the best service ever.

The staff here is just as amazing as the food! We arrived at closing time and had no idea until we were done eating and visiting! We even had ordered desert. Started off a little rough, as i accidentally thru salt into our waitresses eye as I was being superstitious, so we were very lucky we received such good service. However, all in all the food was spot on and we left in good spirits about this visit! We recommend this place!

It's my favorite restaurant. This location has the best food too. I wish I still worked close- by so I could go every week. If you go, ask for Norma! She's the most amazing server I've ever known.

We like the food at El Chico and try it every chance we get. This was our first time in this location, located in the mall. The atmosphere was nice, the food up to expectations, and service was great. Don't ever stop making the "old style" queso.

This place has not changed in years and we LOVE IT. My husband and I really enjoy coming to the Promenade location. The service is always awesome.

Went here last week and they wouldn’t seat us. It was my son, my 3 grandkids and me. 5 of us. They said they didn’t have a large table available and I told them a booth would be fine.(my grandkids are small) He told me they couldn’t do that. Why? If we were willing to sit that close what was the big deal? I understand the whole Covid distancing thing but it would not have been any different if there had only been 4 of us!!!

For lunch time meal (daily special), seated promptly, checked on quickly by server (attentive & personable). Promptly presented with meal ordered (two chicken enchilada dinner). Ample amounts, smoky outdoor southwest flavor, yummy. Warm comfortable setting. Great lunch for people on a tight lunch time schedule. Enjoyed.

Food was spicy, wow, lots of hot peppers. Service was great, ask for lots of water.

Nice friendly people, good food and very good service. A nice selection of Mexican foods and some adult beverages as well. Some awesome dessert options that you have to check out. A nice laid-back dining experience and they seem very willing to fix things to your specifications.

Had lunch here and it was great. Saw a sign on the table for a free treat with a text as well, very nice of them to do that.

Love El Chico's. Wished we had one in Branson, MO. Hint hint hint

My friend and I had a girls night out. The food was amazing. The Texas size Sopapilla was crazy good. What took our dining experience to the next level was the fun enthusiastic on point Waiters. Thank you so much Jonathan and Kyle for making it a night to remember. Next level. We will definitely be back!

The food was great just pay in cash, I am pretty sure my card info was stolen my waitress here.

Food was great and plenty of it, server was wonderful and attentive but not in your face. Will definitely go back.

This place has really gone down hill. They can't maintain product consistency. The enchilada gravy has been reduced to a thin sauce rather than the chili sauce it used to be.

Usually their food is awesome, but tonight it was mediocre. My chicken tortilla soup was luke warm when it came out, the tamales that were ordered tasted like they came out of a can and warmed in the microwave. My husband's food was fantastic from what he said, the same with my brother in law. Our waitress was amazing and kind. Maybe they were having an off day in the kitchen. It happens. I really really wanted the chicken tortilla soup, too.

Stephanie was the worst waitress I’ve ever had. As we were leaving she harassed us at the door infront of other guests as we were leaving. We will never step foot in this El Chico’s again. No waitress SHOULD EVER harass a guest under any circumstances and we will take this as far as it needs to go until action is done.

How it is depends on when you go and who your server is. Sometimes they play my favorite pop station, sometimes they play a mix with mexican songs, sometimes I get a waiter that is too nice, and sometimes I get a waitress that is great.

Carlos is a wonderful and extremely nice and above and beyond service

Went for lunch on a Saturday, food was fine had the steak and brisket tacos good flavors and rice was good. Service was slow not sure if they were short staffed but had long times for food delivery and drink refills.

Food and service were good; location is in a "dead" mall.

Loved this place. The one near us closed a couple of years ago . The brand was kept alive by this place though. Food and staff were awesome.

Service was great. Food was good. It was a pleasant experience. We had Fajitas and Apple pie for dessert. Atmosphere was very pleasant.

Great Food Great Deals... Fast services as long as you get a good waitress or waiter.

The three of us shared a couple of large appetizers. Food was good if a little pricey. Waitress was a little more concerned with talking to her co workers in a booth to the side of the room, than attending to her customers needs. Sad, as there were only two tables occupied in the resteraunt on a Friday early evening. Otherwise would have been a four star experience

Service was good food was good the salsa is really good the chips were nice and crisp we ordered tea sets of fajitas for two to feed four of us and we had more than enough left over to feed another personSo if you're hungry stop in and eat

The food was good and the service was very good. It was so uncomfortably hot in there,it was unpleasant.
